Built to be handed to the publisher who assembled these authors. The membership is the book's, not ours: every host here has a published chapter.

Hospitable Hosts is five volumes of short-term rental operators writing their own chapters: why they started, what went wrong, what hospitality actually costs. More than two hundred authors across the series, and the author list is public on the publisher's site. Most of them are coaches or investors. Some of them run real homes you can book.

This club is that second group. Seventeen homes from seventeen operators who wrote a chapter and run their own booking site: Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas, Idaho, Montana, Washington, British Columbia, the Cotswolds, the Peak District, New South Wales, and the KwaZulu-Natal coast. It is the first club on the network with homes outside the United States, which is what happens when the roster comes from a book instead of a map. Each links to the host; you book with them.

What qualifies, exactlyA host appears here when the Hospitable Hosts publisher lists them publicly as an author of the series, and they run a vacation rental business with its own booking website. A published chapter is a fact about the book, not a rating of the home. We did not read the chapters and we are not vouching for the stays; the point is that these operators put their name and their story in print.

More authors, not yet listed

The publisher's public author list runs to about 160 names. Most are coaches, investors, or hosts who take bookings only on the big platforms, so they are not here. A few run their own sites but take reservations by phone or form with no bookable listing page (Rhosydd Bach Holidays in Wales; Sleepy Lagoon in Covington, Louisiana), and two direct-booking sites we looked for had no live listings when checked (Cajun Stays in Lafayette; Unveiled Vacation Rentals in the Texas Hill Country). The publisher also runs a shared directory at hospitablehosts.rentals; that is the publisher's site, not the host's, so it does not qualify a home here.
